Gedruckt von Atelier Mourlot, 1972. - Das Pariser Atelier Mourlot gehörte zu den renommiertesten Druckwerkstätten des 20. Jahrhunderts, das mit zahlreichen Künstlern der klassischen Moderne zusammenarbeitete. Das Blatt gehört zur Mappe Au Baiser d'Avignon, die in begrenzter Auflage herausgegeben wurde und Picassos unverwechselbare expressive Linienführung und formale Reduktion eindrucksvoll wiedergibt. Mit wenigen, fließenden Linien verdichtet Picasso die Form zu einer sinnlichen Darstellung. In dieser Arbeit manifestiert sich Picassos lebenslange Auseinandersetzung mit der menschlichen Figur in Verbindung mit Erotik und Intimität.

Printed by Atelier Mourlot, 1972. - The Parisian studio Mourlot was one of the most renowned printing workshops of the 20th century, collaborating with numerous artists of classical modernism. The sheet belongs to the Au Baiser d'Avignon portfolio, which was published in a limited edition and impressively reproduces Picasso's distinctively expressive lines and formal reduction. With a few flowing lines, Picasso condenses the form into a sensual representation. This work manifests Picasso's lifelong exploration of the human figure in relation with eroticism and intimacy.

A pickup of this work is possible in our premises at Potsdamer Str. 16, 14163 Berlin by appointment. If you wish a shipment of the work, please contact us for a consultation and shipping calculation. Framed tickets are shipped exclusively by a shipping company due to the risk of breakage. Postal shipping is only carried out at the express request and risk of the buyer.
