Er strebte in seinem Werk nach einer Neutralisierung des künstlerischen Ausdrucks durch serielle und alltägliche Materialien. In "You tall and blonde, me dark with glasses" überträgt er dieses Prinzip auf den Bereich der Sprache: Sechs serigraphierte Leinwände zeigen Textfragmente aus Kontaktanzeigen als Folge zufälliger Begegnungen, welche als sprachliche "Readymades" individuelle Sehnsucht und soziale Typisierung zugleich offenlegen. Henderikse transformiert damit Formen privater Kommunikation in konzeptuelle Strukturen und verdeutlicht, wie Identität und Begehren in standardisierten Mustern gesellschaftlicher Selbstbeschreibung erscheinen.

In his work, he sought to neutralise artistic expression through serial and everyday materials. In 'You tall and blonde, me dark with glasses,' he transfers this principle to the realm of language: six serigraphed canvases depict text fragments from contact ads as a series of chance encounters, which, as linguistic 'readymades,' reveal both individual longing and social typification. Henderikse thus transforms forms of private communication into conceptual structures and illustrates how identity and desire appear in standardised patterns of social self-description.
