o.T. (Die Küssenden). 1950er Jahre. Kugelschreiber auf Velin (mit Wasserzeichen "Paris Renage"). 27 x 21 cm. Signiert. - Oben rechts mit punktueller Bereibung, verso in den oberen Ecken mit Spur vorheriger Montierung. Insgesamt sehr gut. Filigrane Zeichnung in lebendiger Linienführung.

Französische Moderne – Die vorliegende Zeichnung aus den 1950er Jahren zeigt zwei küssende Figuren in klar gegliederter, linearer Formensprache, in der Gestik und Raumwirkung allein durch präzise Konturen vermittelt werden. Die Arbeit reflektiert Cocteaus fortwährende Auseinandersetzung mit symbolistischen Motiven und poetischer Ikonographie und steht exemplarisch für sein graphisches Schaffen in dieser Dekade.

Very good overall. - Slight rubbing at upper right, traces of previous mounting in upper corners on verso. Overall in very good condition. Delicate drawing in vibrant lines. - Drawn in the 1950s, this work depicts two kissing figures in a clearly structured, linear composition, in which gestures and spatial effects are conveyed solely through precise contours. The work reflects Cocteau's ongoing exploration of symbolist motifs and poetic iconography and is emblematic for his graphic art during this decade.
