o.T. (Tradition verbindet). Um 1984. Collage aus Kugelschreiber Zeichnung auf Bierdeckeln eingelassen in Passepartout. Im ovalen Künstlerrahmen gerahmt. Signiert. 35 x 30 cm. - Werkimmanent mit kleinen Abrissen sowie mit Feuchtigkeitsflecken, Rahmen mit kleinen Abplatzungen und Defekten. Insgesamt sehr gut erhalten.

Fluxus – Provenienz: Vom Künstler selbst erhalten, seitdem in Privatbesitz. - In der Verbindung der kleinen Kugelschreiberzeichnungen auf Pappuntersetzern verwandelt Nam June Paik das Alltagsmaterial in ein Medium künstlerischer Erinnerung und thematisiert das Spannungsfeld zwischen Handwerk und Technologie. Die ovale Rahmung, an historische Porträts erinnernd, verbindet persönliche und kollektive Ebenen. Der Gedanke vom verbindenden Brauchtum wird programmatisch: Tradition erscheint nicht als starres Erbe, sondern als lebendiges Netzwerk von Zeichen, das sich im Prozess künstlerischer Transformation immer neu formt.

Signed. - Small tears and moisture stains inherent to the work, frame with small chips and defects. Overall in well preserved condition. - Provenance: Received from the artist, since then in private collection. - In combining small ballpoint pen drawings on cardboard coasters, Nam June Paik transforms everyday material into a medium of artistic memory and addresses the tension between craftsmanship and technology. The oval frame, reminiscent of historical portraits, connects personal and collective levels. The idea of connecting customs becomes programmatic: tradition appears not as a rigid legacy, but as a living network of signs that is constantly being reshaped in the process of artistic transformation.
