Slightly wavy due to technique, verso with a few small, pinpoint stains. Overall very good. - This work on paper by Brigitte Dümling reveals the characteristic combination of gestural energy and concentrated structure that pervades her entire oeuvre. Concepts such as transformation, movement and stillness are central points of reference in Brigitte Dümling's work and find poetic expression in the dense yet open pictorial structure. In the present work, wax crayon and paper interact intensively. Lines and colour zones are superimposed in a rhythmic sequence without following a predefined form. The composition unfolds out of the movement itself, supported by a precise attention to space, material and the autonomy of the line.
