Guter Hirte. Um 1950. Bronzerelief mit bräunlicher Patina. 35,5 cm x 38 cm (mit Plinthe). Auf der Plinthe mit Monogramm "HK" sowie zudem eingeritzt monogrammiert und mit Stempel "0". - Die Patina partiell etw. unregelmäßig, in den Vertiefungen mit leichter Anstaubung sowie etw. oxidiert. Insgesamt gut. Hervorragender Guss mit expressiv strukturierter Oberflächengestaltung.

Deutsche Nachkriegsmoderne – Höfert 208. - Das erste von nur zwei Exemplaren. - Heinrich Kirchner studierte an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste, München u. École des Beaux Arts, Paris. Er wurde Professor an der Münchener Kunstakademie und hatte u. A. Ausstellung auf der Biennale, Venedig. Kirchner ist für seine vereinfachte Formensprache in der Bildhauerei bekannt, die sich vor allem in naiven Tier- u. Menschendarstellungen zeigt. - In seiner Bronzeplastik "Guter Hirte" greift der Künstler das biblische Motiv des Hirten auf, das in der christlichen Symbolik für Christus als fürsorgliche und schützende Gestalt steht. Eindrucksvoll erforscht er das Thema in der plastischen Ausgestaltung: Die Oberfläche zeigt sich bewegt und lebendig, bewusst bleiben die Spuren der modellierenden Hand bestehen, was der Figur trotz der formalen Abstraktion sowie der starken Reduktion eine große Unmittelbarkeit und einen tiefgreifend menschlichen Ausdruck verleiht.

On the plinth with monogram 'HK' as well as additionally engraved monogram and stamp '0'. - The patina is somewhat irregular in places, with slight dusting in the recesses and some oxidation. Overall in good condition. Excellent casting with expressive textured surface design. - The first of only 2 copies. - In his bronze sculpture Heinrich Kirchner takes up the biblical motif of the shepherd, which in Christian symbolism stands for Christ as a caring and protective figure. The artist explores the subject impressively in his sculptural composition: the surface appears vibrant, with traces of the sculptor's hand deliberately left visible, lending the figure a great immediacy and profoundly human expression despite its formal abstraction and pronounced reduction.
