Wz.). 1 Arbeit zusätzlich mit Mezzotinto. - Die Graphiken teils in Rändern mit leichten Griffspuren, in Kanten mit punktueller, sehr leichter Knickspur oder Bestoßung, ein Blatt im Oberrand leicht unfrisch, verso altersbedingt teils leicht unregelmäßig gegilbt, teils gering nach recto durchschlagend, ganz vereinzelt punktueller Braunfleck, Mappe innen altersbedingt leicht gebräunt und mit vereinzeltem blassen Braunfleck, insgesamt sehr gut. Durchweg prachtvolle, kontrastreiche und gratige Drucke der in kräftigem Linienduktus gezogenen Kompositionen, mit zartem Plattenton und klar eingeprägter Plattenkante, mit Rand. - Je eines von 50 Exemplaren. - Druck bei Paul Haasen, hrsg. v. Entstanden 1930 in Paris zur Zeit des "Atelier 17", welches selbst ein äußerst kreativer Ort des Austausches von prominenten Künstlern der Zeit wie Alberto Giacometti, Joan Miró oder Maria Helena Vieira da Silva gewesen ist, zeigt Hayter seinen souveränen und facettenreichen Umgang mit der Technik der Radierung. Scharfer und expressiver Duktus, rational setzt er die Kaltnadel und bereichert sie durch kraftvolle Schraffuren. Begleitet von einem unterbewusst animierten Automatismus, der in der Ausführung zum Vorschein kommt, verschmelzen die Pariser Straßenansichten auf außergewöhnliche Art Realität und Fiktion. - Das vollständige Portfolio, in seiner Art das erste des Künstlers.

Throughout splendid, contrast-rich and burr-like impressions of the strongly-drawn depictions, with delicate plate tone and clearly impressed plate mark, with margin. - Each one of 50 copies. - Print by Paul Haasen, publ. by Éditions des Quatre Chemins, Paris 1930. - With works as mentioned above. - Known for his tireless exploration of the possibilities of printmaking techniques, our portfolio reflects Stanley Hayter's innovative spirit of experimentation.
