Blattränder tls. stockfleckig, Seiten- u. angrenzender Fußschnitt sowie einige Tafeln mit Feuchtigkeitsrand (Bordüren tls. gering, Darstellungen nicht betroffen), sonst insg. gut erhaltenes, dekoratives Exemplar. Die Tafeln in kräftigen u. kontrastreichen Abzügen.

Modern Literature and Art – With red, calligr. title in col. lithogr. border and 10 copper engraving plates. Contemp. black leather on 6 raised bands with blue silk moiré endpapers, gilt edges, gilt stamped title to spine, gilt stamped standing edges and inner dentelles as well as blind tooles cover fillets with border and crowned monogram 'M.M.' as centerpiece (somewhat rubbed), indicating the ownership of a Duke or Duchesse. - Slightly browned due to the paper, some foxing in the margins of the plates and sheets, margins and edges as well as some plates with dampstain (borders slightly, illustrations not affected), otherwise well preserved, decorative copy. The plates in strong and high-contrast printing.
