Moderne Literatur und Kunst – Eins von 250 Exemplaren "sur Hymen de Colombe", hier nicht numeriert. - Die 25 erotisch-pornografischen Zeichnungen werden Foujita zugeschrieben (vgl. Erotica Universalis 722f.). Der Künstler, von Geburt Japaner, arbeitete als Maler u. Graphiker in Paris. "Man rühmt ihm eine Synthese des unerbittlich exakten Auges der japanischen Holzschnittkünstler mit westeuropäischem Impressionismus nach" (Bilderlex. II,396.). - Vorliegende Arbeit zwar weniger impressionistisch, dafür umso eindeutiger. - Vereinzelt leicht fleckig mit leichten Knickspuren und Randläsuren. Insgesamt gutes Exemplar.

Loose sheets in cover (somewhat dusty and rubbed, spine of cover missing). - One of 250 copies "sur Hymen de Colombe," not numbered here. - The 25 erotic-pornographic drawings are attributed to Foujita (cf. Erotica Universalis 722f.). The artist, Japanese by birth, worked as a painter and graphic artist in Paris. "He is praised for his synthesis of the relentlessly precise eye of Japanese woodcut artists with Western European Impressionism" (Bilderlex. II, 396.). - The present work, although less Impressionistic, is all the more distinct. - Occasionally slightly stained with light creases and marginal wear. Overall, a good copy.
