Modern Literature and Art – First German edition translated by Hans Schenk. "Micky Maus am Hofe König Arthurs" (Mickey Mouse at King Arthur's Court) is a pop-up picture book from the 1930s, published by Bollmann-Verlag in Zurich. It tells a humorous story about Mickey Mouse in the medieval court of King Arthur. The book is particularly well known for its elaborate design with four colorful, double-page pop-ups and numerous illustrations in the text. It is one of the early German-language Disney publications and combines entertainment with artistic play value. Despite its artistic value and pop-up elements, its commercial success in Switzerland at the time was rather modest, which was typical for early Disney publications in Europe. Today, the book is a sought-after rarity among comic book collectors. Slightly browned, front joint slightly chipped. Handwritten dedication by a third party on the title page.
