Besitzvermerk, 1. Lage u. einige Bll. lose (diese tls. mit kl. Randläs.), tls. leicht stockfleckig, sonst gut erhalten.

History – Law - East Frisia - Title in red and black. Contemp. leather on 5 raised bands with red edges and gilt stamped title to spine (rubbed, bumped, with small defects in the corners of the cover). - First edition of the first printed land law code for East Frisia, written by the Aurich lawyer Matthias von Wicht (1694-1778). - A combination of Old Frisian and Roman law, copies of which had previously only circulated as manuscripts with differing content and were standardised here for the first time. - Title with crease and ownership note, 1st layer and some leaves loose (some with minor marginal defects), partially slight foxing, otherwise well preserved.
