Vors. verso mit halbseit. bibliogr. Eintrag, datiert 1669, Vorderspiegel mit einem weiteren aus dem 19. Jh. - Teils stark fleckig, mitunter gering wasserrandig und fingerfleckig. Insgesamt solides Exemplar im sauberen Einband, die detailgenau gestochenen, fleckenfreien Stiche von barocker Vielfalt und Opulenz.

Prints before 1600, Bibles, Classics in Original Languages – With engraved title page, 9 copper engraved plates as well as numerous text wood-cuts. - First part of the 5th edition of this work, with the majority of the plates of the whole edition. Not including the second part, which also features a title page engraving and three additional copper engraved plates (VD17 23:248018B). - A curious, worthwhile satirical account of the times, partly closely based on the visions of Quevedo, partly freely invented by the author Johann Michael Moscherosch (1601-99), a German statesman, educator, and writer. - Front cover with a large bibliographical entry on the reverse, dated 1669, front cover with another from the 19th century. - Partly heavily stained, occasionally slightly water-stained and finger-stained. Overall, a solid copy in a clean binding, the well preserved, meticulously executed engravings of baroque variety and opulence.
