Newton "Respice Finem." - Die 8 Bände zu Schakespeares Werk und Leben wurden von dem englischen Verleger und Schriftsteller Charles Knight bearbeitet und herausgegeben. Sie sind in verschiedene Kategorien aufgeteilt: Comedies (2 Bde.), Histories (2 Bde.), Tragedies and Poems (2 Bde.), Biography und Doubtful Plays. - Innengelenke tls. leicht angebrochen, leicht stockfleckig. Insgesamt sehr schön erhaltene Exemplare mit schönen Stichen in den originalen Einbänden.

Literature of 17th to 19th Century – 8 vols. With numerous engraved illustrations and an illustrated title page each. Original red publisher's leather with gold-stamped spine title, gilt spine and publisher's signature, ornamental gold-stamped cover with vignette, as well as gilt on the top and inside edges (rubbed and bumped, capitals more heavily bumped, slightly stained). - With bookplate by S. Newton "Respice Finem." - The 8 volumes on Shakespeare's work and life were edited and published by the English publisher and author Charles Knight. They are divided into various categories: Comedies (2 vols.), Histories (2 vols.), Tragedies and Poems (2 vols.), Biography, and Doubtful Plays. - Inner joints slightly cracked in places, light foxing. Overall, very well-preserved copies with beautiful engravings in the original bindings.
