In "System der Wissenschaft" erläutert er seine Wissenschaftsmethodik, die insbesondere für italienische Philosophen des 19. Jahrhunderts (Vera, Mariano, del Zio) sowie für William Torrey und die St. Louis School of Thought in den USA von Einfluss war. - Mitunter leicht stockfleckig, sonst wohlerhaltenes, breitrandiges Exemplar im schmucken modernen Einband.

Literature of 17th to 19th Century – First edition of Rosenkranz's rare treatise. - Scarce, currently no copies available on the market, only one copy traceable at auction in 1965. - Johann Karl Friedrich Rosenkranz (1805-79) was one of the most important representatives of moderate Hegelianism of his time and Hegel's only contemporary biographer (1844). In 'System der Wissenschaft' (System of Science), he explains his methodology for a philosophic science, which was particularly influential for Italian philosophers of the 19th century (Vera, Mariano, del Zio) as well as for William Torrey and the St. Louis School of Thought in the U.S. - Occasionally foxed, otherwise well-preserved copy with wide margins in a neat modern cardboard binding, the original publisher's printed wrappers bound in (front wrapper with fault).
