Neh Manzer, ou Les neuf loges, conte traduit du Persan. Genua, Yves Gravier, 1808. 2 Bl. (Tit., Vorw.), 165 (1), IV S. Ets. spät. Pbd. mit goldgepr. RTit. auf Lederschildchen, Deckenüberzug aus gezogenem Kammmarmorpapier und umseitig gelbem Schnitt (etw. beschabt).

Literatur des 17. bis 19. Jahrhunderts – Nicht bei Graesse. - Sehr seltenes Werk, hier in der zweiten Auflage, die Erstausgabe war 1806 erschienen. - Für uns weder im Handel noch historisch auf Auktionen nachweisbar. - Gemäß Vorwort übersetzt aus dem in der Bibliothèque Royale aufbewahrtem Originalmanuskript von Daniel Lescallier (1743-1822), französischer Kolonialbeamter und zum Zeitpunkt der Publikation Préfet Maritime in Genua. - Provenienz: Illustriertes Ex Libris mit Text in arabischen Schriftzeichen auf dem vorderen fliegenden Vorsatz recto. - Sehr sauberes, breitrandiges Exemplar, gedruckt auf voluminösem Bütten, einige Lagen in minzgrün.

Literature of 17th to 19th Century – Very rare work, neither available in the trade nor historically traceable at auction.. - Second edition, the first was published in 1806. - According to the preface, translated from the original manuscript kept in the Bibliothèque Royale by Daniel Lescallier (1743-1822), French colonial official and, at the time of publication, Préfet Maritime in Genoa. - Provenance: Illustraded bookmark with text in arab writing on front fly-leaf recto. - Very clean, wide-margined copy, printed on voluminous handmade paper, some sheets in mint green. Daniel Lescallier, born in Lyon on 4 November 1743 and died in Paris on 14 May 1822, was a French maritime administrator, governor, colonial prefect, maritime prefect and consul general.
