Literatur des 17. bis 19. Jahrhunderts – Das Modell erstellte Posch nach einem Wachsrelief von Gerhard Kügelgen. Die Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur fertigte ein Biscuit-Medaillon nach dem vorliegenden Modell an. Es existiert ebenfalls ein Eisenguss in leicht abgeänderter Form. - Am Mund und am Ohr mit leichtem Materialverlust. Verso mit kleiner Fehlstelle. Gut erhaltene, filigrane Arbeit.

Literature of 17th to 19th Century – Portrait medallion with Johann Wolfgang von Goethe in profile. 1827. Plaster. Signed and dated. Framed under glass and in a wooden frame. - The model was made by Posch after a wax relief by Gerhard Kügelgen. The Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur produced a biscuit medallion based on the present model. There is also an iron casting in a slightly modified form. - Slight loss of material at the mouth and ear. Verso with small missing part. Well preserved, filigree work.
