Claudia Giuliani (141 S.). 2 Bde. Castelvetro di Modena, ArtCodex, 2018. 12° u. Gr.-8°. Bordeauxroter Samt mit dreis. Goldschnitt, filigranen goldfarbenen Metallbeschlägen mit einem grünen Schmuckstein als Mittelstück sowie Perlenbesatz in den Ecken u. OPp. in samtbezogener Klappschatulle.
Buchwesen - Faksimileausgaben – Eins von 999 nummer. Exemplaren. - Das Stundenbuch der katholischen Königin von Schottland (1542-1587) mit seinen zahlreichen flämischen Miniaturen gehört zu den besterhaltensten Buchmalereien Flanderns des frühen 16. Jahrhunderts. - Nachdem Maria Stuart verdächtigt wurde, an einem geplanten Attentat auf die englische Königin beteiligt zu sein, wurde sie wegen Hochverrats am 1. Februar zum Tode verurteilt und am 7. Februar 1587 hingerichtet. - Sehr guter Zustand.

Miniatures, coloured, partly gilt heightened borders and numerous gilt heightened initials and a commentary volume edited by Claudia Giuliani (141 p.). 2 vols. Bordeaux red velvet with three. Bordeaux red velvet with three gold edges, filigree gold-coloured metal fittings with a green gemstone as centrepiece and pearl trimming in the corners in velvet-covered hinged box. - One of 999 num. Copies. - The Book of Hours of the Catholic Queen of Scots (1542-1587) with its numerous Flemish miniatures is one of the best-preserved illuminations in Flanders from the early 16th century. - After Mary Stuart was suspected of being involved in a planned assassination attempt on the English queen, she was sentenced to death for high treason on 1 February and executed on 7 February 1587. - Very good condition.
