Exemplaren. - Das Stundenbuch der katholischen Königin von Schottland (1542-1587) mit seinen zahlreichen flämischen Miniaturen gehört zu den besterhaltensten Buchmalereien Flanderns des frühen 16. Jahrhunderts. - Nachdem Maria Stuart verdächtigt wurde, an einem geplanten Attentat auf die englische Königin beteiligt zu sein, wurde sie wegen Hochverrats am 1. Februar zum Tode verurteilt und am 7. Februar 1587 hingerichtet. - Sehr guter Zustand.

Copies. - The Book of Hours of the Catholic Queen of Scots (1542-1587) with its numerous Flemish miniatures is one of the best-preserved illuminations in Flanders from the early 16th century. - After Mary Stuart was suspected of being involved in a planned assassination attempt on the English queen, she was sentenced to death for high treason on 1 February and executed on 7 February 1587. - Very good condition.
