Manuscripts – Thuringia - History of the noble family Wurmb. Manuscript with 3 small family trees, 1 drawn plan and 1 drawn coat of arms in the text. Handmade paper with watermark. Marbled folio. Contemp. half leather with gilt stamped label to spine (rubbed, bumped, small defects in the cover). - With chapters on, among other things: Names and coats of arms - 'Eldest news of the Wormen' in Buttelstett, Tunzenhausen, Heichelheim and Thamsbrück - History of the village of Großfurra - Imperial bailiwick and mayor's office of Nordhausen - The lengthy justification in the Wurmbischen family from 1506-1526 and the judicial system at that time in Thuringia, Meissen and Osterland - Volkmar Wurm the Elder - Levin Wurm - History of the monastery in Großenfurra - the 'second or Heichelheim main branch' etc. - Uncut, some minor foxing, 4 leaves with burn marks, overall good condition. - Enclosed: Copy by another hand of the introduction and the first two chapters. - Copperplate portrait of 'Catharina Elisabetha Charlotte Wurmin' (with cutout).
