Prachturkunde des Brau- und Malzmeister-Verein Österreich-Ungarn zu Wien anlässlich der Ernennung von Julius E. Thausing zum Ehrenpräsidenten. Doppelblatt mit Chromolithographie mit Wappensiegel des Vereins u. mit eigenhändiger Unterschrift des Präsidenten F. Roth sowie 6 unter ovale Passepartoutausschnitte mont. orig. Portraitphotographien (Vintages, Silbergelatineabzüge). Wien, 1909. Eingelegt in mit weinrotem Samt bezogene Einbanddecke über Holzdeckeln mit reich verziertem, mehrteiligen mont. Mittelstück aus tls. vergoldetem u. emaillierten Metall, vier ebenso reich verzierten, floralen Eckbeschlägen im Jugendstil in vergoldeter Metallrahmung sowie vier vergoldeten Nieten auf dem Rückdeckel (Ecken u. Kanten berieben, Rücken etw. eingerissen).

Manuscripts – Splendid certificate of the Austrian-Hungary Brewing and Malting Association in Vienna on the occasion of the appointment of Julius E. Thausing as Honorary President. Double sheet with chromolithograph with coat of arms seal of the association and with handwritten signature of the president F. Roth as well as 6 original portrait photographs (vintages, silver gelatine prints) mounted under oval passepartout cut-outs. Inserted in burgundy velvet-covered binding over wooden boards with richly decorated, multi-part mount. Centrepiece of partly gilt and enamelled metal, four equally richly decorated, floral corner mounts in Art Nouveau style in gilt metal frames as well as four gilt rivets on the back cover (corners and edges rubbed, spine somewhat torn). - The photos with portraits of the president, the vice-presidents, the secretary, the club secretary and the treasurer. - Both sheets (each on thick and firm cardboard) slightly foxed and fingerstained in margins, back inner cover and 2nd sheet verso foxed, otherwise overall well preserved.
