Contemp. marbleg half leather with mounted gilt stamped label to cover (rubbed, bumped). - Contains: Family history entries, including those of the son Hermann Altgeldt (1836-1905, partner in the firm "Beatty, Altgeldt & Co." in Manchester), prayers and verses (some in various handwriting), endpapers browned due to binder's glue, browned due to paper, some brownstaining and foxing, otherwise good condition. - In add. Ms. with prayers and poems. Contemp. cardboard.
