Der Geiger Pablo Casals im Konzert. Budapest, um 1910. Bleistift auf Vélin. 21,5 x 14,5 cm (27,8 x 18 cm). Am rechten Rand mit minimalen Einriss. Verso mit Resten von Montierungsspuren.

Varia (mit diversen Schlagworten) – Pau Casals i Defilló (1876-1973) wurde vor allem als Cellist weltberühmt, wirkte aber auch als Komponist und Dirigent. - Endre Komáromi-Kacz begann sein Kunststudium in Budapest und setzte es dann in München und Nagybánya bei Ede Balló und Simon Hollósy. Von 1903-1907 studierte er an der Meisterschule von Benczúr. Mit einem staatlichen Stipendium unternahm er eine längere Studienreise in die Niederlande und nach Belgien. Er arbeitete in Budapest und malte in seinen letzten Lebensjahren die Balatonlandschaft in Balatonalmádi. Seit den 1910er Jahren gehörte er zu den ständigen Ausstellern der Kunstgalerie und des Salons und wurde mit zahlreichen Preisen ausgezeichnet. 1918 hatte er eine Gruppenaustellung im Salon, 1924 in der Kunstgalerie. Mehrere seiner Werke sind in der Sammlung der Ungarischen Nationalgalerie zu finden.

Verso with traces of mounting. Pau Casals i Defilló (1876-1973) became world-famous primarily as a cellist, but was also active as a composer and conductor. - Endre Komáromi-Kacz began his art studies in Budapest and then continued in Munich and Nagybánya with Ede Balló and Simon Hollósy. From 1903-1907 he studied at the Benczúr Master School. With a state scholarship, he undertook an extended study trip to the Netherlands and Belgium. He worked in Budapest and painted the Balaton landscape in Balatonalmádi in the last years of his life. From the 1910s onwards, he was a permanent exhibitor at the Art Gallery and Salon and was awarded numerous prizes. He had a group exhibition at the Salon in 1918 and at the Art Gallery in 1924. Several of his works can be found in the collection of the Hungarian National Gallery.
