Photographie - Photographen – Aus dem Fotonachlass des Kapitäns Hermann und seiner Familie. Hermann war ab 1903 Kasernen- und Lazarettinspektor in Tsingtau, ab 1909 Garnisonsverwaltungsinspektor und 1914 Kriegsgefangener im japanischen Lager Kurume. - Die verso hs. bezeichneten Aufnahmen zeigen: Küche, Schmiede, Stallungen, Wohnbaracken u. Geschäftszimmer einer Kaserne, deutschen Geschützpark in Tientsin, Chinesin, deutsches Lager Shanhaikwan (Shanhaiguan), Arsenal Tientsin, deutsches Barackenlager u. Kaserne sowie Offizierskasino, Proviantladestelle u. Takustraße in Tientsin, Peiho (vhinesische Gesandtschaft). - Vereinzelt Läsuren, tls. etw. verblasst, sonst insg. wohlerhalten.

Photography – Collection of 24 orig. photographs with images from Tientsin and Tsingtau. Vintages. Albumen prints. - From the photographic estate of Captain Hermann and his family. From 1903, Hermann was barracks and military hospital inspector in Tsingtau, from 1909 garrison administration inspector and in 1914 prisoner of war in the Japanese camp Kurume. The photographs, inscribed on verso, show: kitchen, smithy, stables, and office of a barracks, German artillery park in Tientsin, Chinese woman, German camp Shanhaikwan (Shanhaiguan), the Tientsin arsenal, German barracks, provisions loading area and Takustraße in Tientsin, Peiho (Chinese legation). - Occ. small defects, some fading, otherwise overall preserved.
