Edward McDonald). - William Parker Snow (1817-1895) war ein britischer Seefahrer und Schriftsteller, der nach einer Expedition in die Arktis für die Patagonian Missionary Society die Leitung der Allen Gardiner übernahm. Mit dieser reiste er zwischen den Falkland Inseln und Tierra del Fuego. Seiner Entdeckungen und Erlebnisse auf der zweijährigen Expedition wurden in dem vorliegenden Buch in zwei Bänden publiziert. - Teils fleckig. Ränder gebräunt. Insgesamt gut erhalten mit farbprächtigen Tafeln und grenzkolorierten Karten.

Blind embossed blue canvas with gold embossed spine titel, each with see through cover (slightly rubbed and bumped). - Rare. - 2 handwritten ownership notes. - William Parker Snow (1817-1895) was a British navigator and writer who, after an expedition to the Arctic, took over the management of the Allen Gardiner for the Patagonian Missionary Society. He traveled with the ship between the Falkland Islands and Tierra del Fuego. His discoveries and experiences on the two-year expedition were published in two volumes in this book. - Partly stained. Margins browned. Overall well preserved with colorful plates and border-colored maps.
