Vorsatz eingerissen u. erste Lage lose, papierbedingt gering gebräunt, gebräunter Tafelabklatsch, tls. leicht stock- u. braunfleckig, sonst insg. gut erhalten.

Geography and Travel – Russia - With col. engr. frontispiece and 72 coloured engraved plates. Contemp. leather with gilt edges, gilt stamped title to spine, richt spine gilt, blind- and gilt stamped ornamental fillets and borders (rubbed, bumped, scraped, joints and ends of spine restored). - The beautiful plates with depictions of traditional costumes from the Baltic States, Finland, Lapland, Hungary, the Volga peoples, the Tartars, Kirghiz, Yakuts, Turkmen, Circassians, the inhabitants of Kamchatka, the Aleutians, etc. - With descriptions in English and French. - Front free endpaper with stamp "Cobina", title with ownership note and monogram stamp by Caroline Poulett (dated 1819), inner joint cracked, front endpaper torn and first layer loose, slightly browned due to paper, browned plate offset, partly slightly foxed and brownstained, otherwise overall good condition.
