Geographie und Reisen – Cox II, 302. - Der erste ausführliche Bericht über die Palau-Inseln, wo Wilson 1783 strandete. Die zuerst von den Spaniern gesichteten Eilande wurden bis dahin nicht erforscht. Die schönen Tafeln zeigen Eingeborene, eine Ansicht, Waffen und Gerätschaften. - Ränder leicht gebräunt, eine Tafel stärker knickspurig. Insgesamt sehr gut erhalten.

Geography and Travel – Oceania - Australia - With 1 engraved portrait, 1 engraved map, and 15 copper plates. Leather with gold-stamped title and gilt spine (rubbed, bumped). - The first detailed report on the Palau Islands, where Wilson stranded in 1783. The islands, first sighted by the Spanish, had not been explored until then. The beautiful plates depict natives, a view, weapons, and equipment. - Edges slightly browned, one plate with heavy creases. Overall, very well preserved.
