Malerische Ansichten aus dem Orient, gesammelt auf der Reise Sr. Hoheit des Herrn Herzogs Maximilian in Bayern. Mit getöntem lithogr. Titelblatt und 60 tls. getönten lithogr. Tafeln. Geographie und Reisen – Vollständige erste Ausgabe. - Graesse IV, 457 - Ibrahim Hilmy II, 26 - Röhricht 1871. - Hiler 578. - Lipperheide Ma 22 (= 1589): "Kostüme, antike und moderne Baudenkmäler und Landschaften mit reicher Staffage." - Mit prachtvollen Ansichten von La Valletta, Kairo, Luxor, Medinet Habu, Philae, Jerusalem und vielen weiteren. Die großen Lithographien zeigen zahlreiche antike Ruinen, sowie Szenen aus Städten und von Reisenden. Herzog Maximilian von Bayern reiste 1838 aus München ab und machte sich auf den langen Weg über Athen in das "Heilige Land". - Stockfleckig, Ränder minimal gebräunt. Insgesamt ein sehr gut erhaltenes Exemplar mit 60 prachtvollen Lithographien der arabischen Welt.

Half leather with gilt stamped spine label, upper cover of deliveries bound in (slightly bumped). - Full first edition. - Graesse IV, 457 - Ibrahim Hilmy II, 26 - Röhricht 1871 - Hiler 578 - Lipperheide Ma 22 (= 1589): "Costumes, ancient and modern monuments and landscapes with rich staffage". - With splendid views of La Valletta, Cairo, Luxor, Medinet Habu, Philae, Jerusalem and many more. The large lithographs show numerous ancient ruins as well as scenes of cities and travelers. Duke Maximilian of Bavaria left Munich in 1838 and made the long journey via Athens to the "Holy Land". - Foxing, margins minimally browned. Overall a very well-preserved copy with 60 splendid lithographs of the Arab world.
