Geographie und Reisen – Cicognara 3978. - British Museum 1944,1014.209.27. - Gezeigt wird eine Ansicht des Palazzo Ducale nebst des Markusplatz in Venedig, links mit dem Campanile di San Marco. Im Vordergrund herrscht auf dem Canale Grande reges treiben mit einigen Booten sowie Staffagefiguren. - Nach einer Arbeit des bedeutenden italienischen Vedutenmalers Canaletto. - Gestochen durch den italienischen Kupferstecher Antonio Sandi, welcher hauptsächlich Veduten und Karten von Venedig sowie Venetien schuf. - Mit kleinen blassbraunen Fleckchen, minimal knickspurig, leicht unregelmäßig beschnitten sowie unten mit kurzen Randeinrissen. Insgesamt gut. Prachtoller, ausgesprochen differenzierter Druck mit Rand.

In the foreground, the Grand Canal is filled with life with a number of boats and staffage figures. - After a work by the important Italian veduta painter Canaletto. - Engraved by the Italian engraver Antonio Sandi, who mainly created vedute and maps of Venice and Veneto. - With small pale brown stains, minimally creased, slightly irregularly trimmed and with short marginal tears in the lower margin. Overall good. Splendid, distinctly nuanced impression with margins.
