Ascension. - Minimal stockfleckig, Ränder gebräunt. Abklatsch der Tafeln auf gegnüberliegender Seite. Insgesamt sehr gut erhaltene Exemplare.

Geography and Travel – 2 vols. With 2 (1 folded) maps and 5 steel engraved aquatints, as well as further text figures. Contemp. half leather with gilt stamped title, splashed edges (rubbed and bumped, joints cracked). - First edition.- Each with stamped ownership note by Carl Klein. - Report of the ship's doctor of the expedition, which among other things served the cartography of South Shetland and brought a number of scientific measurement results for the Royal Society. The voyage led via Rio de Janeiro, Montevideo, Patagonia and South Shetland to Cape Horn. - The beautiful plates show Tenerife, Staten Island, South Shetland, Cape Horn and Ascension. - Minimal foxing, margins browned. Copy of the plates on opposite page. Overall very well preserved copies.
