Der interessante Reisebericht enthält neben der Beschreibung von Flora und Fauna auch vieles über Wirtschaft und Leben der indigenen Bevölkerung sowie die Schilderung der Reise nach Rio de Janeiro auf dem Dampfschiff. - Leicht stockfleckig, Ränder gebräunt, insgesamt sehr gut erhalten.
