Naturwissenschaften – Zimmer Catalogue E. A. Ayer, 180-181. - Die "Synopsis Avium" von Dubois wurde ursprünglich in 17 Teilen veröffentlicht. Im Jahr 1902 wurden die ersten zehn Teile in dem ersten Band und dann zwei Jahre später die restlichen sieben im zweiten Band zusammengefasst. Der Ornithologe und Illustrator Dubois verfasste nicht nur den Text der vorliegenden Ausgabe, sondern auch die Chromolithographien stammen von seiner Hand. - Im Schnitt stockfleckig, Ränder leicht gebräunt. Teils befleckt. Buchblock im Innengelenk gebrochen. Chromolithographien in farbprächtigem Zustand. Insgesamt gut erhalten.

Natural Sciences – Zoology. - Ornithology. - With 16 chromolithographic plates. 2 parts in 1 vol. Half leather with gilt stamped spine label. (Rubbed and bumped. Upper capital with missing part.) - The "Synopsis Avium" by Dubois was originally published in 17 parts. In 1902 the first ten parts were combined in the first volume and then two years later the remaining seven in the second volume. The ornithologist and illustrator Dubois not only wrote the text of the present edition, but also created the chromolithographs. - Foxing to edges, margins slightly browned. Partly stained. Book block broken at inner joint. Chromolithographs in splendid color condition. Overall in good condition.
