Naturwissenschaften – Der Ornithologe Jean Luis Cabanis (1816-1906), der zahlreiche Vogelarten erstmals beschrieben hat, hatte mit dem bedeutenden Schweizer Naturforscher Johann Jakob von Tschudi (1818-1889) den ornithologischen Teil dessen "Fauna peruana" (St. Gallen, 1844-1846) bearbeitet und dafür auch eigene Beiträge und Anmerkungen verfasst. - Vorliegendes Manuskript findet sich darin teils wörtlich, teils abgeändert gedruckt und ist mit persönlichen Anmerkungen und Fragen zum Inhalt und zur Textgestaltung in eckigen Klammern für Tschudi versehen. - Wenige Finger- u. Tintenflecken, tls. etw. knitterig, insg. wohlerhalten.

German handwritten manuscript on paper. - The ornithologist Jean Luis Cabanis (1816-1906), who described numerous bird species for the first time, worked with the eminent Swiss naturalist Johann Jakob von Tschudi (1818-1889) on the ornithological section of his 'Fauna peruana' (St. Gallen, 1844-1846) and also wrote his own contributions and comments for it. - The present manuscript is printed in it partly verbatim, partly modified, and is provided with personal comments and questions on the content and text design in square brackets for Tschudi. - A few finger and ink stains, partially somewhat creased, overall well preserved.
