Seinen Aufenthalt in Indien nutzte er zur Erforschung der lokalen Avifauna. Die vorliegende Arbeit zu den Enten Indiens gehört zu seinen frühesten Werken. - Lithographien von Green, Grönvold, Lodge und Keulemans. - Stockfleckig, Ränder gebräunt. Farbprächtige Lithographien. Insgesamt gut erhalten.

Baker was a policeman in the Indian police force and had a personal interest in ornithology. He used his stay in India to research the local avifauna. The present work on the ducks of India is one of his earliest works. - Lithographs by Green, Grönvold, Lodge and Keulemans. - Foxing, margins browned. Richly colored lithographs. Overall in good condition.
