Nach seinem Master in den Vereinigten Staaten kehrte er zurück und leitete ab 1920 die Fischereiabteilung des Bureau of Science in Manila und ab 1921 die Abteilung für Zoologie an der Universität von Manila. - Je mit Besitzvermerk von C. F. Kauffeld auf der Original Broschur. - Ränder leicht gebräunt. Bd. 1 inneres Gelenk angebrochen. Insgesamt gut erhalten.

Dixon. - Handwritten notes on the plates. - The American herpetologist Edward H. Taylor (1889-1978) was employed as a teacher in the Philippines after completing his bachelor's degree. After completing his master's degree in the United States, he returned and headed the Fisheries Department of the Bureau of Science in Manila from 1920 and the Department of Zoology at the University of Manila from 1921. - Each with handwritten ownership note by C. F. Kauffeld on the original cover. - Edges slightly browned. The inner hinge of Vol. 1 is broken. Overall, in good condition.
