Naturwissenschaften – Nissen ZBI, 472. - Der vierte Band von Georg Heinrich Borowskis (1746-1801) Reihe "Gemeinnützige Naturgeschichte des Thierreichs". Die ersten fünf Bände wurden von dem deutschen Naturforscher geschrieben und befassen sich mit den Wirbeltieren. Die Reihe wurde von J. Fr. W. Herbst um fünf weitere Bände erweitert, in denen er die Insekten und Würmer behandelt. - Ränder gebräunt, tls. fleckig, Kupferstiche weitgehend unbeeinträchtigt. Insgesamt gut erhalten.
Natural Sciences – Herpetology - With 36 colored copper plates. Half leather with with gold-stamped spine title (heavily rubbed and bumped, waterstained, adhesive residue). - The fourth volume of Georg Heinrich Borowski's (1746-1801) series "Gemeinnützige Naturgeschichte des Thierreichs". The first five volumes were written by the German natural scientist and deal with vertebrates. The series was expanded by five additional volumes by J. Fr. W. Herbst, in which he treated insects and worms. - Edges browned, partly stained, copperplate engravings largely unimpaired. Overall, well preserved.
