Architektur – Prächtiges Werk über die Residenzen der Zaren, unser Exemplar mit einem überkompletten Tafelsatz. - Zum 300. Jahrestag des Hauses Romanow erschienenes, vom renommierten Archäologen und Kunsthistoriker A. I. Uspenski (1873-1938) verantwortetes Prachtwerk mit einer umfänglichen Bilddokumentation der kaiserlichen Paläste von St. Petersburg samt Vororten. Band 1 enthält eine ausführliche Darstellung zum Bau und zur Innenausstattung der Winter-, Sommer-, Anitschkow- und Marmorpaläste. Band 2 behandelt die Paläste und Pavillons von Peterhof, Oranienbaum, Zarskoje Selo und Pawlowsk. - Mit 16 zusätzlichen, in den Verzeichnissen am Ende beider Bände nicht aufgeführten Tafeln. - Es fehlt der Textteil von Band 1 (340, LXXVI S.) - Leicht gebräunt, Schnitt mitunter leicht stockfleckig, einige der mittels Falz eingebundenen Tafelkartons des 2. Bd. gelockert. Insgesamt wohlerhaltenes Exemplar dieses opulenten Rarums. - Dabei: Nikolaj Makarenko. Putewye sametki nabroski o russkom iskusstwe. H. 1: Beloserskij kraj. Architecture – Magnificent architectural work on the residences of the tsars, our copy with a more than complete set of plates. - Published on the 300th anniversary of the House of Romanov, this comprehensive and luxuriously illustrated work by renowned archaeologist and art historian A. I. Uspenski (1873-1938) contains an extensive pictorial documentation of the imperial palaces of St. Petersburg and its suburbs. - Volume 1 consists of a detailed description of the construction and interior design of the Winter, Summer, Anichkov and Marble Palaces. - Volume 2 deals with the palaces and pavilions of Peterhof, Oranienbaum, Tsarskoye Selo and Pavlovsk. - With 16 additional plates not listed in the indexes at the end of both volumes. - The text section of Volume 1 (340, LXXVI pp.) is missing. - Slightly browned, edges occasionally slightly foxed, some of the folded cardboard plates in Volume 2 loosened. With numerous, partly full-paged, all mounted illustrations in collotype.
