Moderne Literatur und Kunst – Eines von 100 Exemplaren der Vorzugsausgabe mit einer großen Federzeichnung. - 1939-41 entstehen die Bilderzyklen "Leviathan" und "Reichtum aus Tränen", die als "Britische Bilder" 1941 im Nibelungen-Verlag Berlin veröffentlicht wurden. Die Bilder wurden im Herbst 1940 von F. Bruckmann München in Kupfertiefdruck auf Bütten der Hahnemühle hergestellt. Die vorliegende Vorzugsausgabe wurde von Johannes Gerbers, Hamburg, handgebunden. - Webers Arbeiten "gehören in der künstlerischen Qualität zu den Höhepunkten in seinem Werk und geben auch unmittelbaren Einblick in die schwierigen Verhältnisse, denen Kunst im totalitären Regime ausgesetzt war." (weber-museum). - Der handschriftliche Zusatz von Weber auf dem Unterrand der Zeichnung: "Der Lenker. Skizze zu einem nicht ausgeführten Blatt". Sign. "W". - Ohne Nummerierung und Zueignung im Impressum. Nahezu tadellos.

Modern Literature and Art – One of 100 copies of the special edition with a large pen-and-ink drawing. - In 1939-41, the picture cycles "Leviathan" and "Wealth from Tears" were created, which were published as "British Pictures" in 1941 by Nibelungen-Verlag Berlin. The pictures were produced in autumn 1940 by F. Bruckmann Munich in copperplate intaglio printing on Hahnemühle handmade paper. This special edition was hand-bound by Johannes Gerbers, Hamburg. Weber's works "are among the highlights of his oeuvre in terms of artistic quality and also provide direct insight into the difficult conditions to which art was exposed under the totalitarian regime" (weber-museum). - Weber's handwritten addition on the lower margin of the drawing: "Der Lenker. Skizze zu einem nicht ausgeführten Blatt" (The Driver. Sketch for an unexecuted sheet). Signed "W". - No numbering or dedication in the imprint. Almost flawless.
