Autographs – Edicts - Collection of 20 edicts and decrees of the principalities of Braunschweig-Lüneburg and Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, 8 of which signed by dukes. - Includes, among others: 5 decrees and edicts with original signatures of Duke August II of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel (August the Younger) (1579-1666) concerning, among others, the delayed delivery of grain provisions / forestry and forest management in the county of Blankenburg / the threat to Christianity posed by the Turks. - Edict with original signature by Duke Ernst August (1629-1698) on compliance with the hunting law that had been enacted. - Edict with original signatures by Duke Rudolph August (1627-1704) and Duke Anthon Ulrich (1633-1714) on cow herding. - Ordinance with autograph signature of Duke Carl I of Brunswick and Lüneburg (1713-1780) against timber theft. - Ordinance on stamped paper. - Mostly with fold (2 in seal), partially browned stained and browned due to paper, 2 sheets trimmed, a few small marginal tears, otherwise overall well preserved. - In add.: Cat. as listed above.
