Jan Lebenstein (1930-1999, geboren in Polen und lebte die meiste Zeit seines Lebens in Frankreich) war ein figurativer Maler, der den surrealistischen Stil mit fantastischen und abstrakten Elementen vermischte. Seine Werke befinden sich in bedeutenden Sammlungen auf der ganzen Welt, unter anderem im MoMA. Er schuf 1974 die Illustrationen für Farm der Tiere, die zusammen mit dem Text in dieser Ausgabe erstmals 1985 als Samisdat veröffentlicht wurden. - In gutem Zustand.

Jan Lebenstein (1930-1999, born in Poland and lived most of his life in France), was a figurative painter who mixed surrealist style with fantastic and abstract elements. His works could be found in the major collections all over the world, among them in MoMA. He created the illustrations for the Animal Farm in 1974 and it was first published together with the text in this edition, in 1985 as a samizdat.
