Zeitgenössische Kunst – Eines von 15 Exemplaren. - Dorothee von Windheim ist vor allem für ihre konzeptuellen Auseinandersetzung mit den Themen Abdruck, Abbild und Erinnerung bekannt. Seit den 1960er Jahren erforscht sie in ihren Arbeiten die Spuren des Sichtbaren und Unsichtbaren, wobei sie verschiedene Medien wie Malerei, Fotografie und restauratorische Techniken einsetzt. Das uns vorliegende Blatt ist im Kontext eines Projekts entstanden, das die Künstlerin 1991 im Museum Abteiberg in Mönchengladbach präsentierte und für das sie die spiegelnden Umrisse von Bäumen im nassen Asphalt fotografierte. Die unscharfen Reflexionen der Baumkronen auf dem nassen Boden erzeugen eine abstrakte Bildwirkung, die zwischen Fotografie und Malerei oszilliert.

Since the 1960s, she has been exploring the traces of the visible and invisible in her works, using various media such as painting, photography and restoration techniques. This sheet was created in the context of a project that the artist presented at the Museum Abteiberg in Mönchengladbach in 1991, for which she photographed the reflective outlines of trees in wet asphalt. The blurred reflections of the treetops on the wet ground create a painterly, almost abstract pictorial effect that oscillates between photography and painting.
