Insgesamt sehr gut mit dynamischer Komposition, die Farben intensiv und pastos.

Zeitgenössische Kunst – Komposition mit mehreren abstrahierten Figuren, deren dynamische Anordnung und lebendige Farbigkeit an eine fröhliche familiäre Szene erinnert. Auch hier zeigt sich Thomas Virnichs charakteristischer Umgang mit Bildträger, Material und Motiv. Ausgangspunkt ist nicht das klassische Tafelbild, sondern ein bereits vorhandener Bildträger, der durch die malerische Intervention transformiert wird. Diese Umkehrung der Bildordnung - Rückseite statt Vorderseite, Abstraktion statt Reproduktion - ist ein zentrales Element von Virnichs Praxis: Er unterläuft Sehgewohnheiten, verschiebt Bedeutungsebenen und öffnet Bildräume, in denen Erinnerung, Intuition und formale Konstruktion zusammenwirken.

Overall very good with dynamic composition, the colours intense and impasto. - Composition with several abstract figures whose dynamic arrangement and lively colours are reminiscent of a cheerful family scene. Here, too, Thomas Virnich's characteristic handling of the picture support, material and motif is evident. The starting point is not the classic panel painting, but an existing picture support that is transformed by the painterly intervention. This reversal of the pictorial order - back instead of front, abstraction instead of reproduction - is a central element of Virnich's practice: he subverts visual habits, shifts levels of meaning and opens up pictorial spaces in which memory, intuition and formal construction interact.
