Er gilt als der Begründer der französischen Schule der Rechtshumanisten. - Vorsätze erneuert. Durchgehend wurmgängig, mit Buchstabenverlust. Wasserrandig und etwas gebräunt, teils etwas fleckig. Text vereinzelt feuchtigkeitsbedingt verwischt. Titel mit zeitgen. Besitzeintrag und getilgtem Stempel.

(rubbed and scuffed). - Rare. - Andrea Alciato (1492-1550) was an Italian jurist and writer. He is considered the founder of the French school of legal humanists. - Endpapers renewed. Worming throughout, with loss of letters. Waterstained and somewhat browned, some spotting. Text occasionally smudged due to dampness. Title with contemp. ownership inscription and cancelled stamp.
