- Insgesamt sehr gute, druckfrische Exemplare.

Modern Literature and Art – 4 books from: "Projekt Westmensch" (Project Western Man), 1958. Facsimile reproduction. 4 vols. With reproductions of the numerous notes and drawings by Beuys.Original half-cloth bindings, each with a mounted illustration and glassine wrapper, together in the cardboard slipcase (slipcase slightly rubbed). - One of 365 numbered copies (total edition of 400 copies). - The four volumes offer a behind-the-scenes look at the artist's work. "Projekt Westmensch" comprises the four notebooks that Joseph Beuys filled with sketches, entries, and project ideas between 1958 and 1965. For Beuys, the four books constituted a cohesive, organically developed entity that could not be separated. Prior to the 1992 facsimile edition, Beuys had presented the four books at a few exhibitions, though always without providing further information regarding their content. The four facsimiles thus offered the first opportunity to gain insight into this early work by Beuys. - Edited by Jessyka Wenzel, Eva Beuys, and Jörg Schellmann. - Overall, very fine copies in pristine condition.
