Autographen – ... le Sr. Comte de Degenfeldt-Schönburg, mon Ministre d'Etat et Lieutenant Gneral, qui va en Angleterre pour y continuer la Fonction de mon Envoye Extraordinaire à la Cour de Sa Majesté le Roy de la Grande Bretagne, sans le charger de cette Lettres pour Vôtre Majesté ... - Caroline von Brandenburg-Ansbach und Friedrich Wilhelm I. wuchsen gemeinsam am preußischen Hof auf. Friedrich Wilhelm warb um die junge Prinzessin, diese lehnte den Heiratsantrag jedoch ab. Stattdessen heiratete Caroline 1705 Georg August von Hannover, den späteren König Georg II. von Großbritannien. Nach dem frühen Verlust ihrer Eltern stand Caroline ab 1696 unter der Vormundschaft von Kurfürst Friedrich I. von Brandenburg und seiner Gemahlin Sophie Charlotte in Berlin. - Faltspuren, gering braunfleckig, stellenw. leicht knitterig, insg. wohlerhalten. - Dabei: Dekret im Namen des Königs Friedrich I. Cleve, 10. Mai 1712. Verkündet von Conrad von der Reck.
Autographs – Letter signed 'FrGuilaume' by the 'Soldier King' to Caroline of Brandenburg-Ansbach (1683-1737), Queen of Great Britain and Ireland. - Caroline of Brandenburg-Ansbach and Frederick William I grew up together at the Prussian court. Frederick William courted the young princess, but she declined his proposal of marriage. Instead, in 1705, Caroline married George Augustus of Hanover, the future King George II of Great Britain. Following the early loss of her parents, Caroline was raised in Berlin from 1696 under the guardianship of Elector Frederick I of Brandenburg and his wife Sophie Charlotte. - Foldmarks, slight brown staining, slightly creased in places, overall well preserved. - In add.: Decree issued in the name of Frederick I.
