Prospectus montis B. Virginis Mariae, vulgo Frauen-Berg Francofurti ad Moenum/Prospetto del monte della beatissima Vergine Maria a Francoforte al Meno. Um 1770. Kupferstich mit Altkolorit auf Bütten. Ca. 29,5 x 41,5 cm. Mit zweisprachigem Titel in Latein und Italienisch. Unter Passepartout montiert und hinter Glas gerahmt.

Dekorative Graphik - Ansichten – Nach der Vorlage von Salomon Kleiner. - Das Blatt zeigt den verschneiten Liebfrauenberg in Frankfurt am Main mit der Liebfrauenkirche rechts und dem im Winter eingehausten Brunnen in der Platzmitte, belebt mit reicher Staffage aus Schlitten, Reitern, Spaziergängern und rodelnden Kindern. Die Fenster sind für den Lichteffekt im Guckkasten ausgeschnitten und teils mit Papier hinterlegt. - Sehr eng an der Plattenkante beschnitten. Mittelfalz mit kleinen Randeinrissen im oberen Falzbereich. Ränder gebräunt und leicht angestaubt, mit kleineren Randläsuren. Im Himmel vereinzelt fleckig und leicht berieben, wenige kleine Fehlstellen im Kolorit. Insgesamt gut. Klarer, detailreicher Druck mit kräftigem Kolorit. Rückseitig mit einer späteren, teils hinterklebten Silberfolie hinterlegt, lösbar.

Mounted in a passe-partout and framed under glass. - After Salomon Kleiner. - The print shows the snow-covered Liebfrauenberg in Frankfurt am Main, with the Liebfrauenkirche at right and the fountain in the centre of the square enclosed in its winter housing, enlivened with numerous staffage figures: sleighs, riders, passers-by and children sledging. The windows are cut out for the lighting effect in the peep show box and partly backed with paper. - Trimmed very close to the platemark. Central fold with small marginal tears at the upper end of the fold. Margins toned and lightly dust-soiled, with minor marginal defects. Scattered spotting and light rubbing in the sky, a few small losses to the colouring. Overall in good condition. A clear, richly detailed impression with strong colouring. Backed with a later sheet of silver foil, partly adhered, removable.
