Dekorative Graphik - Karten – IKAR 100152090 - Karte des Frankfurter Stadtgebiets bis hin nach Kronberg, Niedereschbach Hanau, Sprendlingen und Kelsterbach. Umgeben von zahlreichen Wappen der Frankfurter Patrizierfamilien sowie allegorische Darstellungen von Tugenden am oberen Plattenrand. Die Karte stammt von den niederländischen Kartographen Brüdern Johann und Cornelius Blaeu, die 1638 die Leitung des Unternehmens ihres Vaters Willem Janszoon Blaeus übernahmen. - Leicht stockfleckig. Insgesamt sehr gut erhaltene Karte in prachtvollem Kolorit.
Prints and Engravings - Maps – Copperplate map with original hand-coloring. - Map of the Frankfurt city area extending to Kronberg, Niedereschbach, Hanau, Sprendlingen, and Kelsterbach. Surrounded by numerous coats of arms of Frankfurt patrician families, with allegorical representations of virtues along the upper margin. The map is the work of the Dutch cartographer brothers Johann and Cornelius Blaeu, who took over the management of their father Willem Janszoon Blaeu's firm in 1638. - Slight foxing. Overall, a very well-preserved map with magnificent coloring.
