Predigten von protestantischen Gottesgelehrten. Hg. v. J. P. Bamberger. 5 (von 7) Bände (= Sammlungen). Mit 5 Titelvignetten und Zierrat im Holzschnitt. Berlin, Mylius, 1771-75. Ca. 1700 S. 8°. Marmor. Ldr. d. Zt. mit goldgepr. RTit. und Bandnr. auf Lederschildchen, reicher floraler Rückenvergoldung, goldgepr. ornament. Fileten auf Deckeln und Innenkanten, Vorsätzen aus mehrfarbig geädertem Kleisterpapier mit unregelmäßigem Dekor, umseitigen Farbschnitt und Lesezeichenbändchen (etw. bestoßen, beschabt und fleckig).
Theologie und Religionswissenschaften – Seltenes Sammelwerk mit insgesamt über 70 Kanzelreden der deutschen Aufklärungstheologie, aus prominentem Bestand. Illustrated with 5 woodcut title vignettes and several wooduct head-and-tail-pieces. Mit Beiträgen u.a. des Hg., von Johann Joachim Spalding und Georg Joachim Zollikofer. Im Nachtragsband Nr. 7 (1799) enthält das Sammelwerk anonym die frühesten gedruckten Predigten von Friedrich Schleiermacher. - Provenienz: Die Titelblätter verso mit Stempel des Kgl. Joachimsthalschen Gymnasiums (aufgelöst 1956) als Legat von Prinzessin Anna Amalie von Preußen (1723-87), der jüngsten Schwester von Friedrich dem Großen: "Gymnasio Reg: Joachim: Legat: Ab Illustr: Striss. Principe Amalia". (Zum Legat: Köpke, F. C.: Geschichte der Bibliothek des Königl. Joachimsthalschen Gymnasiums ... Berlin, 1831, S. 22f.) - Durchgehend sehr leicht gebräunt, insgesamt sehr gut erhaltener Exemplarsatz mit farbfrischen zeitgenössischen Buntpapieren als Vorsätzen.
Theology and Religious Studies – Scarce collection comprising over 70 pulpit sermons from German Enlightenment theology, our set from prominent provenance. Illustrated with 5 woodcut title vignettes and several woodcut head-and-tail-pieces. Bound in contemporary marbled calf with rich gold tooling and superb multicolour veined paste paper. - With contributions by, among others, the editor, Johann Joachim Spalding and Georg Joachim Zollikofer. In the supplementary volume No. 7 (1799), the collection anonymously contains the earliest printed sermons by Friedrich Schleiermacher. - Provenance: The reverse of the title pages bear the stamp of the Royal Joachimsthal Grammar School (dissolved in 1956) as a bequest from Princess Anna Amalie of Prussia (1723-87), the youngest sister of King Frederic II.: 'Gymnasio Reg: Joachim: Legat: Ab Illustr: Striss. Principe Amalia'. - Very slightly browned throughout. A set in very good overall condition with contemporary coloured decorative endpapers in fresh colours.
