Geschichtswissenschaften – Seltenes Manifest über den Prozess und das Todesurteil gegen den Zarewitsch Alexei Petrowitsch, den ältesten Sohn von Zar Peter dem Großen. - VD18 10364048 - Zarewitsch Alexei lehnte die radikalen westlichen Reformen seines Vaters ab und wurde zum Hoffnungsträger der konservativen, alt-russischen Kreise. 1716 floh er aus Russland und suchte Asyl beim habsburgischen Kaiser in Wien. Peter der Große wertete dies als Staatsverrat und Verschwörung. Er ließ seinen Sohn unter dem Versprechen von Vergebung nach Russland zurücklocken. Es wurde eine Sonderkommission eingerichtet. Unter schwerer Folter (der Knute) wurde Alexei verhört, um Mitverschwörer kurzzuschließen. Am 24. Juni 1718 verurteilte ein weltliches Gericht aus Staatsbeamten und Militärs den Zarewitsch wegen Hochverrats zum Tode. - Dabei die Vorgängerschrift: Manifest, Oder Umständliche Nachricht Von der In Moscau Den 3./14. Februar 1718 geschehenen Renunciation und Degradirung... 1718. 6 nn. S. geheftet. - VD18 90590856 - Die Schrift dokumentiert den offiziellen Ausschluss des Thronfolgers von der Nachfolge (die sogenannte Renunciation / Entsagung und Degradirung) unmittelbar nach seiner erzwungenen Rückkehr aus dem Ausland.

History – A rare document detailing the trial and death sentence of Tsarevich Alexei Petrovich, the eldest son of Tsar Peter the Great. - VD18 10364048 - Tsarevich Alexei rejected his father's radical Western reforms and became the hope of conservative, Old Russian circles. In 1716, he fled Russia and sought asylum with the Habsburg Emperor in Vienna. Peter the Great regarded this as treason and conspiracy. He lured his son back to Russia with the promise of forgiveness. A special commission was established. Under severe torture (the knout), Alexei was interrogated to identify his co-conspirators. On June 24, 1718, a secular court composed of government officials and military officers sentenced the Tsarevich to death for high treason. - Accompanying the preceding document: Manifesto, or Detailed Account of the Renunciation and Degradation that took place in Moscow on February 3/14, 1718... 1718. 6 unnumbered pages, stapled. - VD18 90590856 - The document records the official removal of the heir to the throne from the line of succession (the so-called "renunciation" and "degradation") immediately following his forced return from abroad.
