Geschichtswissenschaften – Seltenes und Louets wichtigstes Werk zum katholischen Kirchenrecht. - Erster Druck des Werkes, ca. 50 Jahre nach dem Tod des Autors erschienen. - Arabeyre, Dict. Hist. S. 519 - Hochspezialisiertes Handbuch für die juristische Praxis des 16. u. 17. Jahrhunderts. Georges Louet nahm den Text von Du Moulin und versah ihn mit eigenen, umfassenden Glossen und rechtswissenschaftlichen Anmerkungen. Er prüfte Du Moulins Thesen aus der Praxis des Pariser Parlaments heraus und glich sie mit der aktuellen französischen Rechtsprechung ab. Georges Louet wurde in einer alten Adelsfamilie aus Anjou geboren und war Rechtsanwalt, Conseil-clerc des Parlaments von Paris, Kanoniker und Archidiakon von Angers sowie Generalagent des Klerus von Frankreich 1580-1582. - Teils mit einigen Annotationen von alter Hand, insgesamt gutes Exemplar des seltenen Werkes.
History – A rare and Louet's most important work on Catholic canon law. - First edition of the work, published approximately 50 years after the author's death. - Arabeyre, Dict. Hist., p. 519 - A highly specialized handbook for legal practice in the 16th and 17th centuries. Georges Louet took Du Moulin's text and supplemented it with his own comprehensive glosses and legal commentary. He examined Du Moulin's theses in light of the practice of the Parliament of Paris and compared them with current French case law. - Contains some annotations in old handwriting, overall, a fine copy of this rare work.
