Deutscher Schweinslederband der Spätrenaissance auf vier erhabenen Bünden über an den Kanten geschrägten Holzdecken, der Rücken in fünf mittels blindgepr. Punktlinien gegliederten Fächern mit hs. RTit. auf montiertem Papierschild im ersten bzw. hs. Bandnr. im zweiten Fach, die Deckeln in Blindprägung mit vier doppelten bzw. dreifachen Streicheisenrahmen, wovon die beiden mittigen ausgerollt mit Heiligenporträts in Medaillons über korrespondierenden Texttafeln bzw. inmitten Rankenwerk in Palmettendekor, der Innenrahmen als Mittelfeld und -stück mit Platte gestaltet als Rankenwerk, sowie zwei gravierte Messingschließen. Kl.-4°. (An der oberen Kapitale mit sehr kleiner Fehlstelle, etwas bestoßen, beschabt und fleckig).

Buchwesen – Enthält: Juan Lopéz. Epitome Sanctorum Patrum, Per Locos Communes, Ad Sacras Conciones ... 2. Band (von 4). Mit Titelvignette und Zierrat im Holzschnitt. Köln, Hierat, 1607. 1152 S. - VD17 39:134741H. - Titelei, letzte Blätter und stw. auch im Falz fleckig, durchgehend gering gebräunt.
Books on Books, History of Paper and Typography – Late Renaissance German pigskin binding on four raised bands over wooden boards bevelled at the edges. Te spine is divided into five compartments by blind-stamped dotted lines, bearing a handwritten title on a mounted paper label in the first compartment and a handwritten volume number in the second compartment. The covers blind-embossed with four double and three triple tooled frames, the two central ones rolled out with portraits of saints in medallions above corresponding text panels and amidst foliage in a palmette design, the inner frame designed as a central panel with a plate featuring foliage, as well as two engraved brass clasps. Quarto. (Very small loss to the upper capital, slightly bumped, scuffed and stained). - Contains: Juan López. "Epitome Sanctorum Patrum, Per Locos Communes, Ad Sacras Conciones ..." Volume 2 (of 4). With title vignette and decorative elements in woodcut.
