Naturgeschichte
Naturwissenschaften – Zweibändiger Katalog des deutschen Bankiers und Privatgelehrten Joseph Paul von Cobres. Er stammte aus der Republik Venedig und und gründete in Augusburg eines der bdeutendsten Bankhäuser derzeit. Bereits 1770 begann er naturhistorische Bücher und Exponate zu sammeln und seine umfangreiche Sammlung wurde sogar von Forschenden derzeit besucht. - Stärker stockfleckig. Insgesamt gut erhalten.
Natural Sciences – Natural History. - Original paper wrappers bound in. Half-leather bindings with gilt-stamped titles on the spines (bindings show significant rubbing, spine of the first volume has a missing section). - Two-volume catalogue belonging to the German banker and private scholar Joseph Paul von Cobres. Originally from the Republic of Venice, he founded one of the most important banking houses of the era in Augsburg. He began collecting natural history books and specimens as early as 1770, and his extensive collection was even visited by contemporary researchers. - Significant foxing. Overall in good condition.
